Accepting applications starting September 15th, 2020, this $1,000 scholarship is for law students who ultimately want to become trademark attorneys upon graduation from law school. Trademark Attorneys at Cohn Legal, PLLC understand that becoming a lawyer requires significant financial investment. Dealing with the costs alone can become overwhelming as you enter into your second, third, and final years of law school.
To assist with some of the expenses, Cohn Legal, PLLC is giving a one-time $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student who is in need of help with expenses associated with law school.
Part 1:
Why are you interested in Intellectual Property and Trademark Law in particular? Please describe what you find interesting and exciting about this field of law.

Please tell us about any law school classes you have taken concerning Intellectual Property and/or any classes you intend to take in the future. How do you intend to become an expert in trademark law?

Eligibility Requirements
By submitting an entry to the 2020 Trademark Attorney of Tomorrow Scholarship, you transfer all rights and ownership of submitted content to Cohn Legal, PLLC, regardless of whether your entry is selected as a winner. Cohn Legal, PLLC reserves the right to publish submitted work at the conclusion of the entry period in any manner Cohn Legal, PLLC deems appropriate. Cohn Legal, PLLC also reserves the right to publish the name of the winner on the cohnlg.com website and notify the winner’s law school of the applicant’s success in obtaining the scholarship.
No fee necessary for entry or winning.
Selection of winning submission is entirely at the discretion of Cohn Legal, PLLC. Cohn Legal, PLLC will contact the winner via the email address used for submission. The winner will be confirmed ONLY after providing proof of enrolment in the form of a copy of a tuition bill, a picture of a current student ID, official or unofficial transcripts, or letter of proof from the accredited law school wherein the winner is enrolled. If the scholarship is not applied to by a minimum of 15 applicants by May 1st, 2021, Cohn Legal, PLLC reserves the right to extend the deadline for up to an additional 6 months.
Upon confirmation of enrolment, the winner will be publicly announced on Cohnlg.com, and Cohn Legal, PLLC will mail a check to the law school or student on behalf of the winner. In the event a winner cannot prove enrolment at a law school, a secondary winner shall be chosen.
